The questions found in the survey cover areas that have scientific support when it comes to preventing suicide.

For example, by providing support to at-risk groups, training staff and implementing interventions in schools.

- Above all, the strategic and long-term part of the work is missing.

A good basis for this is to have a coordinating official and a local action plan, says Anneli Thors, regional manager for Suicide Zero in Jämtland-Härjedalen in a press release.

No one gets the green light

In the survey, it appears that none of the participating municipalities get the green light, which is judged to mean that none of them have good efforts in preventing suicide.

Åre and Östersund get a yellow light.

This means that there are efforts, but that these need to be developed.

In 2021, 25 people took their own lives in the county.
