In 2022, the Ukrainian economy recorded a deficit of $23 billion. Russian bombings and attacks have knocked out houses, public buildings, infrastructure. "It will be the biggest reconstruction since World War II," Economy Minister Yulia Svyrydenko told Economia24, "and an opportunity for great cooperation with Italy and its businesses." The minister also returns to the Black Sea agreement with Russia on wheat: "For us it is vital that it is extended to 120 days".
