Ambassador Avdeev: Putin congratulated Pope Francis on the 10th anniversary of his election to the throne

“Today we conveyed the corresponding message from Russian President Vladimir Putin,” he shared.

According to information on the website of the Russian Orthodox Church, Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus' also congratulated the Pope on the anniversary of his election.

Earlier, the Pope spoke about his conversation with Putin and called him "a man of culture."
