Citizen Saleh Al-Dhahuri informed the responsible environmental authorities about the presence of an injured sea turtle in the Dibba Al-Fujairah Sea, after he was on a diving trip, the day before yesterday, as he noticed that the turtle is unable to move on the surface of the sea, which prompted him to submit a report to deal with it and preserve its life by the competent teams.

"I received the response immediately after contacting the Fujairah Environment Authority team and the Fujairah Research Center, and the turtle was dealt with and the necessary procedures were provided to preserve its life and return it to its environment," Al-Dhahuri said.

The Fujairah Environment Authority reported that it responded to a report stating that there was a turtle in the city of Dibba Al-Fujairah, complaining of a problem that hinders it from returning to the sea, and a specialized team went quickly to the site, and the communication was dealt with professionally, as it was examined, and immediately rescued.

She pointed out that the injured turtle was sent for treatment as part of the Dubai Turtle Rehabilitation Project, in order to re-release it again into the seawater, praising what Al-Dhahuri has done and his positive dealings with living organisms, as he contacted the competent authorities immediately, which reflects his awareness of the importance of turtles to the marine environment.

She noted that if you notice any living creatures that need assistance, please contact the official channels of the Fujairah Environment Authority, or the toll-free number dedicated to the protection of turtles (800887853).
