Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov commented on the call of the former head of the Munich Security Conference, Wolfgang Ischinger, to launch a "peace process" for Ukraine.

“So far, there are no prerequisites for the transition of the process to a peaceful course.

For us, the absolute priority continues to be and will always remain the achievement of our goals.

Now they can only be achieved by military means," Peskov said.

Earlier, Wolfgang Ischinger, in an article for the newspaper Der Tagesspiegel, said that it was time to start the peace process for Ukraine.

In his opinion, it is necessary to offer perspectives to the "growing chorus" of critical issues in the US and Germany.

Russian officials have stressed their readiness for negotiations over the past six months, noting that it was Kyiv that refused them.

At the same time, the Ukrainian side took this step at the direction of the US authorities, said Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova.

The day before, she commented on the words of the head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry Dmitry Kuleba regarding Moscow's position in negotiations with Kiev.

“He himself seems to agree that there is always room for negotiations, but he just does not see any desire for them on the part of Russia.

A grandiose lie, given that it was the regime he represents at the legislative level that banned these same negotiations with Russia, ”she wrote in her Telegram channel.

"Muscovy"

The Russian Federation, no matter how anyone calls it, will remain a great power.

This was stated by the press secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov, commenting on the decision of Vladimir Zelensky to instruct the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmyhal to “work out” the possibility of renaming Russia to Muscovy.

“You know, this probably refers to such ridiculous curiosities - a similar message or a similar decision.

If I'm not mistaken, there have already been many such jokes about this.

I don't think any new jokes need to be made.

But I repeat once again, here you can only treat this with a smile, ”Peskov said.

Earlier, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, noted that the head of the Kyiv regime, with her daily actions, proves the correctness of the Russian side that they are trying to create “anti-Russia” from Ukraine.
