In October 2022, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Nicaragua announced the severance of diplomatic relations with the Netherlands due to the kingdom's interference in the internal affairs of the republic.
Earlier in the White House, the United States expressed concern about the issue of interaction between Russia and Nicaragua.
