American Thinker: US saves on disposal by transferring decommissioned weapons to Ukraine

This view was expressed by an American Thinker columnist under the pseudonym Roger Smith.

According to him, the process of disarming weapons is very expensive.

Thus, by sending Ukraine old weapons, the term of storage and operation of which is coming to an end, the United States and its NATO allies relieve themselves of these costs.

Smith said Washington's military aid to Ukraine totaled $46.6 billion over the past year.

He noted that the disposal of such a volume of weapons would require spending approximately 35 billion rubles.

On March 11, Bloomberg reported that the Pentagon wants to request $170 billion in purchases in the new fiscal year.
