At least eight people have died after two boats capsized near San Diego's black beach.
It is noted that fishing boats capsized, in one of which there were eight people, and in the other - 15.
To locate people, authorities used GPS data from the phone of one of the survivors who reported the incident.
The nationalities of the victims have not yet been established.
Earlier, the Italian coast guard reported that about 30 people were missing after a boat with migrants capsized on the Libyan coast.
