One of the accusers of Taha Bouhafs has withdrawn her testimony against the journalist, who was accused of sexual violence, we learned Saturday from La France Insoumise, confirming information from L'Express. Candidate for the legislative elections for LFI in the Rhône, Taha Bouhafs withdrew on May 10, 2022 citing "unprecedented attacks" from Macronia, the right and part of the left.

The next day, LFI announced the opening of an internal investigation against him. Taha Bouhafs then criticized the party for not having allowed him to defend himself against these accusations of "sexual violence", the movement of Jean-Luc Mélenchon arguing the "desire for confidentiality" of the complainants.

"Getting back to a more or less normal life"

In a statement, his lawyers take "note of the withdrawal of testimony in this political 'procedure' from the outset vitiated by its absence of any contradictory character, and of which we have not obtained, to date, any factual element". They call for "the harassment to stop" so that their client "who is not the subject of any legal proceedings can resume a more or less normal life".
