All parks and green spaces in Paris were closed on Friday, due to strong winds expected in the capital. Anticipating gusts between "60 to 80 km / h" and "occasionally 85 km / h", accompanied by "moderate rainy passages", the City of Paris has decided to close its "green spaces, parks, gardens and cemeteries".

If Paris is not among the seven departments (Alpes-Maritimes, Aude, Hérault, Pyrénées-Orientales, Var, Haute-Corse and Corse-du-Sud) currently placed in orange vigilance "strong wind" by Meteo-France, the meteorological service forecasts a "very agitated day" throughout the country, with a wind "strong to very strong".

On its website, the City of Paris also recommends avoiding walks in the forest and being cautious in case of travel. The capital's green spaces are due to reopen on Saturday morning, "after the usual checks".
