Traffic will be normal on most Paris metro lines on Saturday, the fifth day of a renewable strike called by all RATP unions against the pension reform. Only the RER A and B will remain "disrupted", announced the Régie Friday.

Throughout the day, there will be only one train out of two on RER A and two out of three on RER B (with interruption of the interconnection at Gare du Nord).

Fewer trains also on lines 11 and 6

In the metro, traffic will be "normal except for a few lines": two out of three trains are planned on line 11 in the afternoon and three out of four trains on line 6, also in the afternoon.

Traffic will be "almost normal" on lines 8, 12 and 13, and "normal" on all other lines, according to RATP forecasts.

The Régie also recalls that line 9 of the metro will be closed Sunday "due to work". As in previous days, the bus and tram networks will operate normally on Saturday, another day of interprofessional events.

A situation that has rapidly improved

Since Tuesday, the first day of strike rather well followed, the situation has quickly improved in Paris transport, revealing a rather weak mobilization among RATP employees unlike the 2019 strike against the previous pension reform project.

In a statement, the inter-union "welcomed" Thursday the "strong mobilizations since January 19" and called on the agents to "continue the pressure", encouraging them to demonstrate Saturday and strike on March 15 as part of a "mobilization inscribed in the duration".
