The Criminal Investigation Department of the um Al Quwain Police General Headquarters managed to arrest two people from a European gang consisting of four members who stole an iron safe from a residential villa in the emirate with jewelry and money worth 450 thousand dirhams and transferred the safe to a desert area during the absence of its owners and opened it and stole all the contents of the safe of gold jewelry, money and official documents.
The Director of the Criminal Investigations Department at the um Al Quwain Police General Headquarters, Colonel Saeed Obaid bin Aran, said that a report was received to the Al Salamah Comprehensive Police Station from a citizen while he and his family were returning home stating that his house was robbed, the contents of the house were scattered, and the iron safe that was inside the villa, which contains 150,300 dirhams, jewelry belonging to his wife valued at about <>,<> dirhams, and official documents.
He explained that immediately after receiving the report, field teams from the Criminal Investigation Department and elements of the Al-Salamah Comprehensive Police Station were formed to search and investigate the report, and the teams reached the identities of the persons (three men and a woman) through the vehicle they were traveling in belonging to a rental office, and it was found that they hold visit visas and left the country immediately after the report.
He added that after identifying the people and their data, the task forces were able to reach the location of the iron safe, which was found in a desert area in a neighboring emirate, and the perpetrators were able to break it and found only some official documents belonging to the author's family.
He pointed out that information was received that two of the four people were on their way back to the country and obtain a visit visa, and they already entered the country on February 15, and rented a vehicle and were followed up to find out their locations, as investigations indicated that they headed to a desert area, so a control plan was prepared and they were able to adjust them while they were in that area with suitcases in preparation for leaving the country.
Bin Arran explained that the defendants were brought to the Investigation Department and after taking all legal procedures from the Public Prosecution, their bags were searched and gold jewelry was found inside, as the perpetrators cut the gold into small parts and hid it in a professional manner inside the bags in preparation for taking it out while leaving the country, and a precious wristwatch was found, and by confronting them with the communication, they confessed to entering the house, stealing the safe, opening it and stealing its contents, and the author and his family also identified the seized jewelry, in addition to knowing the owner of The communication is on the wristwatch and it belongs to him personally.
