Student stabbed repeatedly

The body of Valentin F. was found Saturday afternoon in his apartment in the 16th arrondissement, while the student had not responded to calls since Thursday, according to a source close to the case. From the same source, the local police found on their arrival on the spot traces of blood on the front door of the apartment, which showed no trace of break-in.

Inside, they said they found several broken objects and a large amount of blood on the ground. According to Le Parisien, Valentin, a history student at the University of Saint-Denis, originally from Corrèze, died after being stabbed several times.

According to the first elements of the investigation that AFP has seen, a hooded person was seen on video surveillance cameras heading towards the victim's home. The Criminal Brigade is in charge of the investigation for "voluntary homicide" entrusted by the Paris prosecutor's office.
