Debates in the National Assembly were seriously disrupted on Tuesday. The Keeper of the Seals Eric Dupond-Moretti addressed two arms of honor in the hemicycle to the president of the LR group Olivier Marleix, who had just reminded the rostrum of his indictment for illegal taking of interest.

During the exchanges on a text of the Renaissance group for a mandatory ineligibility sentence against perpetrators of violence, Olivier Marleix recalled several cases concerning members of the presidential camp, including the Minister of Justice.

"I was indicted, not convicted," @E_DupondM said in response to @oliviermarleix, and continued: "There is not one arm of honor, there are two, accompanied by words each time (...) arm of honor to the presumption of innocence". The meeting is suspended. #DirectAN pic.twitter.com/cnScwTE9PP

Acknowledging having made two arms of honor, Eric Dupond-Moretti assured that the gesture was "not addressed to the deputy Marleix" but to the attack "on the presumption of innocence". He thus presented his "apologies" to the deputy and to "the national representation".
