Take out the skis. While we have been out of the meteorological winter for a week, snow is making a comeback in the Nord and Pas-de-Calais. In these two departments, International Women's Day promises to be white and slippery.

Temperatures, quite mild on Tuesday, will gradually drop over the next night. According to Météo-France, Wednesday morning, the mercury will climb painfully to reach 2 °, but with a feeling of -3 °. It is also during the night that is expected a "snowy episode notable enough to cause difficulties", justifying an orange vigilance "ice snow".

Up to 10 cm of snow locally on heights

The confidence index of the forecast is good, Météo-France even estimating that "snow accumulations are revised a little upwards". On the ground, the thickness of the white coat will be of the order of "5 to 7 cm, locally 7 to 10 cm especially on the Pas-de-Calais, or even a little more on the heights of the Pas-de-Calais".

From late Wednesday morning, snowfall will turn into rain. There is still a risk of further snowfall overnight, but to a lesser extent.
