Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has invited companies and institutions working in the business community in the UAE to participate in the tender for the implementation of three integrated stations dedicated to resting delivery bikers in the emirate, as part of the authority's keenness to strengthen partnership with the private sector, with the aim of benefiting from the transfer of knowledge and exchange of experiences between all parties.

The stations are spread over three vital locations, the first is located on Sheikh Zayed Road near Festival Plaza in Jebel Ali, the second in Port Saeed near Al Muraqqabat Street 22, and the third in Ras Al Khor Industrial Area II near Manama Street.

By launching the project, DEWA aims to delight delivery drivers by providing them with the services they need, such as maintenance and refueling services, rest areas and restaurants, in addition to public safety information and quality regulation controls issued by DEWA.

This project also comes in line with DEWA's continuous efforts to regulate and improve the safety of the delivery sector, which has witnessed remarkable growth over the past years, as the number of companies providing delivery services in Dubai reached 2891,2022 companies in December 48, recording an increase of 3.2021%, between 2022 and 36, in addition to the presence of more than <> delivery companies through smart platforms and applications. The Authority has developed plans to implement permanent and temporary breaks for drivers, to meet the rapid growth of the sector, and has organized several initiatives.
