An almost religious calm
On the one hand, the Republicans want to accelerate the abolition of special schemes for employees of the RATP, the SCNF, the Banque de France and other public services.
On the other, the government refuses concessions deemed too liberal, just a few days before the general strike and therefore the mobilization of all employees benefiting from these special schemes.
But another actor tries to interfere in this debate, it is the senatorial left, like the former socialist minister Victorin Lurel, who denounces the hypocrisy of his colleagues attached to the special regime of the Senate.
“We are therefore going to propose the abolition of five special regimes. How are you going to maintain credibility?” he asks.
