Worried parents have gathered outside the Ministry of Education in the capital Tehran on Saturday to express their concern over the wave of poisonings of schoolgirls that have hit Iran in recent weeks.

During the demonstrations, criticism was also made against politicians and the country's security forces.

Protests against the regime also took place in other cities on Saturday, at the same time as more images spread on social media of girls suffering from symptoms of dizziness and sudden weakness.
