The count has been going on for over 20 years and is carried out by roughly 120 volunteer members of the Nature Conservation Association's circles and local ornithological clubs.

Reports in at frequent intervals

Every fifteen minutes for two hours, the people in charge from the Rördrommen field station call and Marjatta has to state how many eagles she has seen.

- When I arrived there were five flying and doing acrobatics in the air, she says.

In the clip, you can see sea eagles from Rudöklippan in Västerås during the eagle count.
