“The Ukrainian leader and his inner circle have large bank accounts in Cyprus, they own real estate in Western countries,” he said in an interview with American journalist Stephen Gardner.
McGregor added that Zelensky would flee Ukraine long before they got to him.
“He may well settle in the United States or somewhere else,” he stressed.
Earlier, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that a Russian victory for the alliance carries greater risks than expanding assistance to Ukraine.
