Eight people were injured this afternoon in
an accident between a tram and an ambulance that occurred on Avenida Diagonal in Barcelona.
According to the Barcelona Fire Brigade, the injured included the tram driver and the two occupants of the ambulance.
The troops of the Medical Emergency System (SEM) transferred to the place have treated eight people -six women and two men-, one of whom has resulted in less serious injuries and has been transferred to the Hospital del Mar.
The other seven victims had minor injuries, for which six of them have been transferred to a Primary Care Emergency Center (CUAP) and the seventh has been treated on the spot and has not required transfer.
The circumstances in which the accident occurred, as a result of which the head of the tram derailed, are unknown for the moment.
