This was stated by Rear Admiral Oleg Gurinov, Deputy Head of the Russian Center for the Reconciliation of Warring Parties in the Syrian Arab Republic.

“In total, 2,108 people have received assistance since February 17, 108 in a day,” TASS reports.

Gurinov noted that the flow of humanitarian aid from other states continues through international cooperation.

Over the past day, two planes with humanitarian cargo arrived from the UAE to Syria, including one to the Russian Khmeimim airbase, he added.

Earlier, the Committee for Emergency Situations under the government of Syria reported that the number of earthquake victims in the country was 414,304.

At the end of February, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and the Special Envoy of the UN Secretary-General for Syria Geir Pedersen discussed assistance to Syria to overcome the consequences of the earthquake.
