A delegation from the European Union and diplomats visited the town of Huwara today, Friday, to examine the settlers' crimes and the military occupation measures against the residents, and called for holding those responsible for the crimes against the Palestinians accountable.

The delegation also stopped at the first stop of its field tour at the house of the martyr Sameh Al-Aqtash in the village of Za’tara (south of Nablus), in order to closely examine what the family was subjected to, the murder of one of its sons, by settlers’ bullets, last Sunday.

The European delegation encountered the horrific scenes in the neighboring town of Hawara, where dozens of houses and hundreds of vehicles were burned, leaving only their outer skeletons.

The delegation listened to the testimonies of Palestinian citizens and an explanation from the residents of what they were subjected to during the attacks on them by the settlers, which they said took place under the cover of the occupation army.

During the visit, the European delegation and representatives of human rights organizations were subjected to attempts to confuse one of the settlers.

For his part, the European Union representative in the Palestinian Territories, Sven Kon von Von, said, "It is important to achieve full accountability here and bring the abusers to justice, and those who have suffered loss of their property must be compensated, and the most important thing here is that settler violence must stop because if this continues, there will be no future." in this place".

In conjunction with the visit, the occupation forces suppressed a demonstration of Israeli peace activists and prevented them from reaching the town of Hawara in solidarity with its residents.
