In Iran in the Middle East, students attending girls' schools in various places have complained of health damage believed to be caused by toxic substances one after another, and more than 1,000 people have so far called for an investigation of the cause.

According to Iran's state-run news agency, since November last year, there have been a series of students complaining of respiratory disorders and numbness in their limbs at girls' schools in various places, including Qom in the central region and Tehran, the capital.



The state-run news agency said that toxic substances are thought to be the cause and that the symptoms are mild in most cases, but that the number of students who complained of being unwell had risen to more than 1,000 by the end of last month.



In Iran, there are increasing calls to investigate the cause, and some parents are not sending their children to school.
