• Interior The reform of the 'Gag Law' will allow uncommunicated demonstrations

  • Reform Surrounding Congress will no longer be a crime

All police forces without exception will come together again on Saturday in a macro-demonstration in Madrid to protest the reform of the

Citizen Security Law

finalized by the Government, known as

the Gag Law

.

As they did on November 27, 2021, agents of the

Civil Guard

, the

National Police

and the regional police will repeat the space and time of the protest under the umbrella of the

Jusapol

movement , the platform formed by members of the National Police and the Guard Civil of all its scales and categories.

Beyond the anger over the change in regulations, the regret is focused on the wall that the Government has built between them, the guarantors of security, and the change in the law.

They reappear on the streets to make it clear that the change, as they insist, "will leave a country more insecure."

Agustín Leal

, spokesman for the

Jucil

group (majority of the Civil Guard), and

Aarón Rivero

, general secretary of the Jupol police union, are the visible faces of a movement that has been reactivated, they say, with more force than in November 2021.

Why are they going out on the streets again this Saturday?

Augustine Loyal.

We are forced to publicly express our rejection of this reform because it is made from the sectarianism of a few and the opinion of law enforcement officers, true security professionals, has not been taken into account.

This reform favors their intention to generate discord in the street and tie us hand and foot in our work to defend the rule of law, the law and the sovereignty of the Spanish people.

Seeing the proposed changes gives the impression that someone has given a blank sheet to the anti-establishment so that they can write it as they please.

Aaron Rivero

.

We return to the streets out of responsibility, because we cannot tolerate that, due to the political interests of the PSOE and the partners of its Frankenstein Government, there is an attack on the operation of the Security Forces and Corps, and consequently on the rights and freedoms of all citizens. What will the new law mean?

TO THE

It will lead us to crime rates never seen before in our society, in which the State Security Forces and Corps will have a very difficult time fighting crime and guaranteeing the freedom and security of our compatriots.

It goes without saying that in cases like the coup d'état in Catalonia it will be very difficult for us to guarantee the constitutional order to repeat itself.

The real hostages of this nonsense will be the Spanish, who will become hostages of the violent.

The fact that we do not have security on the streets will lead to a decrease in our quality of life and a threat to the waterline of our Rule of Law.

RA

If this reform goes ahead, it will mean a direct attack on the principle of authority of the police and a reduction in the operation of the Security Forces and Corps and therefore the safety of all citizens.

This reform converts the Citizen Security Law into the law of hatred for the Police.

It is a reform that does not have the opinion of citizen security experts, without the endorsement of technical reports and carried out from an ideological point of view that will make our streets more unsafe and will tie our policemen hand and foot to guarantee security in our streets.

The general secretary of Jupol, Aarón Rivero, poses for this newspaper. ALBERTO DI LOLLI

What would you say to those who insinuate that they act directed by the PP, due to a meeting that took place in Genoa with Alberto Núñez Feijóo?

TO THE

The fight for the demands of our socio-labour rights is historic, especially with regard to salary equality with the autonomous police forces.

Nobody understands that two people do not charge the same for doing the same work when the Ministry of the Interior of the Government of Spain is the same payer, as is our case.

This equalization is not a matter of funds, but of political will.

All the governments for 30 years have promised it to us and none has complied with it in its entirety.

When our politicians are in opposition, they side with us and behind our banners, promising that when they reach government they will comply with that justice and equality.

That is why we are forced to look for support in the different formations.

The PSOE and Unidas Podemos endorsed our demands before governing.

These two formations even went so far as to put the Jusapol movement as an example of the struggle of workers for their rights at the time that we presented an initiative in Congress for wage equality.

AR

We are completely apolitical.

Jusapol was born in 2017 as a union association of national police and civil guards in the fight for the equalization of salaries of the State Security Forces and Corps with the regional police, an equalization that to this day is still not effective and for which We will continue fighting regardless of the color of the Government. What are the forecasts, in terms of mobilization?

TO THE

The forecasts are very encouraging, we will repeat the success of the one promoted on November 27, 2021. We have the support of a multitude of civil society organizations that side with us to demand security according to the times.

Also from the CSIF, the main union of civil servants, with which we have a collaboration agreement on various points to improve public service.

Ertzainza unions such as SIPE will accompany us, as well as Mossos d'Esquadra and Local Police, of course the affiliates of the rest of the National Police and Civil Guard unions will be in Neptuno this Saturday.

If the current Executive has achieved anything, it is to unite all of us against this reform.

RA

We hope it will be a large demonstration, with an influx of agents from all police forces.

In the same way, we hope that many citizens will join us, as they already did in November 2021.
