Anyone who walks along Biblioteksgatan in the middle of Stockholm would think that times are better than ever.

The exclusive brands Breitling and Tiffanys have recently moved in and the windows display goods that cost several hundred thousand kroner each.

There is a queue at the Chanel store.

Perhaps this is precisely why the luxury brand is planning to open a second store in the same block.

The company Hufvudstaden owns most of the houses in the area.

- We don't notice much of the crisis.

On the contrary, we notice great interest from new brands that want to enter, and existing customers want to expand, says Emanuel Westin, business development manager at Hufvudstaden.

Susanne Mårtensson works in the neighborhood and often shops in the shops on Biblioteksgatan.

She doesn't notice the crisis, she says:

- There are as many people here as usual.
