A real drug has emerged from a Japanese takoyaki restaurant that has gone viral as "addictive takoyaki", causing controversy locally.

According to local reports such as Japan's Fuji Network News (FNN), Nagoya police arrested two people, including Masamichi Shimazu, 29, a well-known takoyaki shop owner, on suspicion of violating the Drug Enforcement Act.

The shop's sale of drugs was discovered when the police arrested a citizen who had purchased cocaine there.

After an undercover investigation, the police discovered that a restaurant known to be a takoyaki restaurant was also selling cocaine.

This was how they committed their crimes.

Drug buyers would order takoyaki and tell them their own secret code, and they would package cocaine with the takoyaki.

Police investigations have revealed up to six people connected to the takoyaki shop, including the yakuza.

Meanwhile, in September last year, a "special brownie" sold in a university town in Bolivia was found to be a "brownie with cannabis," which caused controversy.

The student, who allegedly committed the crime to pay for the concert, not only promoted cannabis brownies on her social media account saying it "makes you happy," but also sold chocolates and jelly containing narcotic substances.
