The Executive Council of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi approved the budget of Abu Dhabi Sports Channel for the current year, submitted by Abu Dhabi Media Company, and approved a memorandum by the Department of Municipal Affairs requesting the approval of additional budgets for each of the municipalities of Abu Dhabi City, Al Ain and the Western Region, in order to implement the initiatives of the strategic plan for the year 2008.

During the meeting, chaired by His Highness General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, the Council approved yesterday the two projects of awarding an upper intersection at Baniyas East and widening Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum Street from intersection 40 to intersection 49 provided by the Department of Municipal Affairs. He also approved the Abu Dhabi Sewerage Services Company project.
