Turkey: 4.3 magnitude earthquake hits Konya province

An earthquake measuring 4.3 on the Richter scale struck the central Turkish state of Konya on Friday afternoon, with its epicenter recorded in the Aragli region at a depth of 7 km below the surface of the earth.

The newspaper "Yeni Safak" said that the Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency "AFAD", said, in a statement, that the earthquake occurred at 17.01 (14.01 GMT).

AFAD explained that the earthquake occurred in the Aragli district of Konya, while the state of Konya announced in a tweet that it had not received reports of damage as a result of this earthquake.

It also stated that searches are continuing on the ground to ensure that there is no damage.
