"I don't think Biden speaks sign language," joked the author of a post relaying a modified photo featuring the US president. In the image, Joe Biden greets from a platform curious people who take pictures of him with their phones. In the crowd, a man stands out: he gives the middle finger to the president.

"When an image is worth more than words!" comments the author of the post on social networks. Here is the real hero of Warsaw, yesterday, during Biden's visit to Poland! The post was relayed with the same text on Facebook, Twitter and the Russian social network VK.

FAKE OFF

In reality, the man did not make this gesture. In the original photo, posted Feb. 22 on the president's Facebook and Twitter accounts, the man gives a thumbs up at Joe Biden in approval. Another photograph, taken by photographer Omar Marques and released by Getty, shows the same man with his thumbs up, as spotted by the Reuters news agency.

In addition, the modified image shows the name of an account, johnhackerla. He defines himself as a "creator of memes" and shared the modified image on February 22.

The image was taken on February 21 in Warsaw, where the US president gave a speech in front of the royal castle. He assured that "Ukraine will never be a victory for Russia." The day before, Joe Biden had made a surprise visit to Kiev.
