Hamdan bin Mohammed attends part of UAE Tactical Team Challenge

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council of Dubai, attended on Thursday at the Training City in Al Ruwayyah part of the UAE Tactical Team Challenge, the largest event of its kind in the field of work of special units and tactical teams in the region, which concludes its fourth edition tomorrow after five days of competitions in which 55 teams from around the world participated.

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum listened to an explanation of the challenge and this year's activities and competitions, where the Commander explained that the competitions take place at the level of five competitions, starting with the challenge of rescuing a hostage, followed by the attack challenge, then the rescue officer competition and the High Tower challenge, and at the end of the competitions comes the challenge of overcoming obstacles, while the event provides the opportunity to exchange experiences with other teams from different countries of the world. And learn about the best international practices regarding the work of rapid intervention unit teams to ensure the highest levels of efficiency and readiness.

His Highness the Crown Prince of Dubai watched a presentation by the Dubai Police (C) Women's General Headquarters Team, the first specialized tactical team for special operations from female elements of Dubai Police, as part of its participation in the fourth edition of the UAE Tactical Team Challenge 2023.

Lieutenant General Abdullah Al Marri praised the interest of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum in providing support to the specialized cadres in Dubai Police within this global challenge, and his keenness to learn about the best international experiences and practices in the field of work of rapid intervention units, stressing that "the first specialized tactical team for special operations of female elements" constitutes an important addition to the police work system.

The Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police explained that the team members prepared strongly to compete in the five categories of the challenge and underwent multiple specialized training programs, including tactical shooting, intrusion, raid, snipers and endurance, which gained them great experience that resulted in achieving high levels of performance and reaching full readiness in performing tasks and participating in local and international championships.

The Commander-in-Chief stressed that Dubai Police is proud of its cadres of ambitious and passionate women to join difficult fields and specialties, especially with the many challenges that this field brings, which require the highest levels of vigor and physical and mental fitness, explaining that the team members showed high skill and great efficiency during their recent participation in the Police Championship for specialized teams in its sixth edition, which was organized by the Police Sports Federation in cooperation with the Dubai Police General Headquarters.

At the end of the visit, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum received a commemorative shield from the special operations team of women in Dubai Police, expressing deep thanks and gratitude to His Highness for his support to the team and all Dubai Police teams in general.
