Kim Ki-hyun's "suspicion of the land of Ulsan" has emerged as an issue at the People's Power National Convention, and it has spread beyond the issue of the election of the party leader to the opposition battle. Did they feel that public sentiment or partisanship was not good? Candidate Kim held a press conference that could be described as a "fact-checking presentation" to refute the allegations, saying that he would risk his political life, saying, "The 1,800-fold market profit is a lie, and the exercise of influence is a pure lie."

Candidate Kim Ki-hyun bought 11,5 square meters (about 3,5 pyeong) of Gusuri Imya in Eonyang-eup, Ulju-gun, Ulsan, in 1998, and candidate Kim's suspicion of land speculation in Ulsan starts from here. At the time, Kim was a lawyer for Ulsan City Counsel.

There were claims that candidate Kim purchased the land for 3 million won, but today (800rd) candidate Kim officially stated that "the actual purchase cost is 23.2 million won."

Since the purchase, the KTX Ulsan Station Connecting Road has changed its route unlike the previous plan, and the main suspicion is that the changed route was changed to pass through the forest owned by candidate Kim, resulting in a huge market price difference.

Yang Yi Won-yong, a member of the Millennium Democratic Party (MDP) who first raised the allegations, claimed in October 860 before the presidential election that the purchase price was 2021 million won - the current estimated value was 10 billion won, a whopping 3,800 times higher than when the purchase was made.

During a TV debate at the People's Power National Convention on 640 March, candidate Hwang Kyo-ahn raised these allegations again and pressured candidate Kim Ki-hyun to resign, which he continues to attack to this day. In addition, other candidates joined in, making it a key issue in the election.

Candidate Kim refuted it by saying that it was fake news, but today (1rd) he volunteered to hold a press conference and explained the article for 800 minutes. Along with lengthy fact-check explanations, they displayed aerial photographs of the scene and complained of chagrin.

Kim Ki-hyun "A bright red lie... I will risk my political life."

Kim first jumped at the 1,800x market arbitrage claim. Referring to the data of Assemblyman Yang Yi Won-yong of the MDP who first raised the issue, he said, "The land (which Assemblyman Yang Yi Won-young took as a standard) has a published land value of 25,4 won, and the land I own has a published land value of 600,2 won. If you look at the disclosure price, it's a 270-fold difference." He protested, "Isn't it fake news to accept and quote nonsense that you calculate with this land?"

<World Ilbo> reported that it calculated an estimate of candidate Kim's land through AI analysis of real estate valuation, and it came out from 100.11 billion won to 34.640 billion won. It's very different from the claim that "the current estimate is 25 billion won." According to the <World Daily> "If we calculate this, we have generated a valuation difference of 5.4 to 16.6 times in 23 years."

Kim also dismissed allegations that he influenced the road plan change as "not true at all."

"Is there anyone who pressures and lobbies for the road to pass through the tunnel, or is there anyone who lobbies for it to pass under their own land? Seoul is protesting that the GTX tunnel is passing. But you asked me to tunnel it, and you told me to prove it, does this make sense?"

Candidate Kim said today (<>rd) that he would "risk his political life" and emphasized that the allegations are fake news. As suspicions grew, it seems that public sentiment and public opinion among party members were not serious.

I have made it clear that if fake news is real, not fake, I will risk my political life. Let me assure you that there is not a single fault in looking up to heaven. No matter what the evil or the Matador is, I will fight with sincerity to the end. Falsehood can never defeat truth.

Rival candidates, Lee Joon-seok of Ulsan

While Kim is refuting the allegations head-on, the concerted efforts of rival candidates are intensifying. In particular, Lee Joon-suk, the former head of the People's Power who is supporting Cheon Haram's candidacy, visited the land of candidate Kim Ki-hyun in Ulsan. Lee is poised to amplify the "Ulsan land suspicion" issue.

Former Chairman Lee announced his trip to Ulsan yesterday (21st), and wrote on SNS, "Former Prime Minister Hwang Kyo-an told me to go, so I will go to the Ulsan site." Candidate Hwang Kyo-an said in a TV debate on 20 August, "The answer is always on the ground. If anyone is curious, please visit candidate Kim Ki-hyun's Ulsan land. Go and see and you'll get the answer right away."

Prime Minister Huang is doing too much.
You keep going to the site tomorrow, but tomorrow I will go directly to the Ulsan site.
I will go and check the site and get a 95% discount to take over the land.

Lee Joon-suk, former CEO of People's Power SNS

Candidate Chen Haram also pointed out on MBC Ridio, "Since I can't answer and keep saying, 'Actually, it didn't go up much,' it continues to be a little unclear." Yoon Young-hee, a spokeswoman for Ahn Cheol-so's camp, another rival candidate, issued a comment, saying that "the suspicions have not been resolved," adding, "It was a legal action before Ki Seung-jeong," adding, "The moment you get caught up in the controversy over the morality of the party leader, it's obvious that you don't see the results of the general election."

Candidate Kim Ki-hyun's press conference today was a pre-draft legal action that failed to clarify the allegations. Should our party hold a press conference in the general election on the issue of party leader real estate? Do I still have to take legal action against him?
The moment you get caught up in the controversy over the morality of the party leader, it's obvious that you don't have to look at the results of the general election.

Hwang Kyo-ahn, the candidate who first raised the Ulsan land suspicion among the party contenders, is also taking aim at candidate Kim Ki-hyun. Every TV debate calls for candidate Kim's resignation, so the term "resignation fairy" is sometimes attached.

Candidate Kim Ki-hyun is leading in various opinion polls, so the verification offensive of the pursuers Ahn Cheol-so, Cheon Haram, and Hwang Kyo-an is likely to continue until the last minute of the election.

Join the Democrats... Void Strike

Candidate Kim Ki-hyun's suspicion of the land in Ulsan has gone beyond the fight between the party leaders within the power of the people to become a full-fledged public battle when the MDP decided to form an intra-party investigation team yesterday (22 May).

If candidate Kim Ki-hyun had been an opposition lawmaker instead of the people's power, he would have been summoned and searched several times now. We urge the government to proceed with an investigation without sanctuary. In addition, the MDP will form a fact-finding team on candidate Kim Ki-hyun's alleged land speculation to thoroughly investigate the allegations raised against candidate Kim Ki-hyun.

Briefing by MDP Chief Spokesperson Ahn Ho-young

In response, candidate Kim Ki-hyun put up a defensive shield, saying, "Forced saintetang is boiling." Candidate Kim said, "Two years ago, when I was the leader of the Senate, I attacked the land of Ulsan with false facts in order to get on the gate of presidential candidate Lee Jae-myong, and when I became the leader of the party, I brought up the Ulsan land issue again to vote on the motion to arrest Lee Jae-myong."

There is also an analysis that the MDP will carry out fact-finding activities such as going to see the land of Ulsan, and this will be the result of helping candidate Kim Ki-hyun. Yoo Seung-chan, a political consultant, told YTN radio's "News Head-to-Head" that "if the other party starts conducting a fact-finding investigation, it may have a rallying effect. If the Democratic Party likes candidate Kim Ki-hyun, they will attack him harder, and this is the paradox of politics."

According to the People's Power, there are concerns that if candidate Kim Ki-hyun fails to overcome the suspicions, even if he is elected as party leader, he will suffer from various attacks and may put his vote in the general election at a disadvantage.
