Tragic fate for a Syrian family miraculously survived the earthquake.
Two parents with five children died in a fire in the house where they had taken refuge, after their home in Gazientep, southern Turkey, collapsed due to the earthquake.
According to Turkish media reports, the family had fled the district particularly affected by the earthquake of Nurdagi, in the southeastern province of Gaziantep, and was staying with some relatives on the outskirts of Konya.
The fire, which broke out around 3 a.m., was caused by the stove heating the small mud house where the family slept. The videos - broadcast by the DHA agency - showed the house largely destroyed by the fire in a snowy field. The seven dead people are a couple and their five children aged 13, 8, 6 and 4. Five other people from the same family were injured in the fire.
