While the group said it was "very surprised" and "categorically denies" the daily's allegations, Kiev accused the French company of being "a full-fledged weapon of Russian aggression".

The phrase of the day

We are ready for a protracted conflict. »

At the Security Conference in Munich, Emmanuel Macron stressed the risk of seeing the war drag on. "Today, very clearly the time is not for dialogue," acknowledged the one who has long tried to maintain channels of discussion with President Vladimir Putin. From now on, he calls on Europeans to "intensify our support for Ukraine", but also to "reinvest massively in our defence".

Today's figure

175,000 to 200,000. This is the number of Russian soldiers killed in combat since the beginning of the war, according to an estimate by the British Ministry of Defence. These figures are higher than those put forward by Ukrainian forces. "The number of Russian casualties has increased significantly since September 2022, when the 'partial mobilization' was imposed," the British services add.

Today's trend

Ukraine said Friday it had regained enough power generation capacity to fill shortages, after months of restrictions due to waves of Russian strikes on energy infrastructure. A real relief for civilians after a difficult winter, as the anniversary of the Russian invasion approaches.

"For nearly a week, there have been no power cuts across Ukraine," Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmygal said on Telegram, noting, however, that the "repair of damaged equipment will take many months." He warned that some areas could still experience power cuts as a result of these repairs.
