Positive day for European stock markets, especially for Milan +1.16% and Paris +0.89%. London and Frankfurt closed slightly higher, +0.18% while Wall Street continued to decline after some better-than-expected data, including those on unemployment benefits. Fears of new interest rate hikes have been moving markets for weeks now. Today the ECB in its monthly bulletin confirmed a further increase in March of 50 basis points.

Tenaris is in the spotlight after the accounts, +8%, Unicredit +4.26% and Pirelli after the denial by the Chinese shareholder Sinochem of a possible sale of the stake, + 3.36%. Gas falls below 52 euros per MWh while the spread cools to 185 basis points but the ten-year yield closes higher at 4.33%.
