He tried everything for the whole. Earlier this month, an inmate tried to escape from the San Pedro maximum security prison in La Paz (Bolivia)... by dressing up as a sheep, reports the Daily Mail. However, his escape ended badly as he was quickly discovered by the guards, who immediately took him back to his cell.
José Luis Callisaya Diaz, who is serving a fifteen-year sentence for murder, hoped to take advantage of the cold and heavy rains to facilitate his escape. He first wrapped himself in sheepskin and crawled through the grass at night, like a sheep, to try to escape the guards' surveillance. His plan was then to scale the prison wall to escape.

A failed escape
But soon, the guards noticed that the detainee, nicknamed "El Araña" (the spider), was no longer in his cell. So they quickly went looking for him and caught him in the act of escape in his sheep costume. The man was brought back to the prison and should be subject to disciplinary and judicial measures, according to our colleagues.
Juan Carlos Limpias, Bolivia's prison director, confirmed that the escape plan had been aborted. "Security police officers from the San Pedro de Chonchocoro prison prevented the escape of prisoner José Luis Callisaya Díaz," he said. The astonishing photos of the detainee with sheepskin circulated on social networks. For now, no one knows how he got his makeshift disguise.
