The Commission for Excellence and Creativity announced the start of registration for the 2024 programming marathon for children and adolescents, which is being held by the Science Olympiad Administration in cooperation with the Lifelong Learning Center at the Syrian Virtual University, as part of their digital development project for children and adolescents.

The Authority indicated in a statement, a copy of which SANA received today, that basic education students from all governorates between the ages of 8 and 15 years can register for the marathon, by filling out the electronic form on the official website of the Excellence and Creativity Authority until the first of next May.

The Authority noted the importance of the marathon in developing the skills of children and adolescents in logical analysis and creative thinking, and acquiring programming languages ​​within its training sessions and competitive competitions, indicating that participants will undergo placement tests and training in the post-registration stage.

The children's category includes ages between 8 and 11 years, while the youth category includes ages between 12 and 15 years.

The marathon aims to prepare a generation that keeps pace with the development of software technology intellectually, cognitively and skillfully, monitor cases of excellence among children and adolescents, and provide additional care for these cases in order to consolidate their leadership and distinction and highlight Syrian leadership at the national, regional and international levels.
