Last night (the 10th), Lunar New Year's Day, a man in his 40s was caught by the police in Siheung, Gyeonggi Province, for setting fire to his girlfriend's house because she refused to meet him. There were a series of car accidents on the highway on the way home.

There is a police access control line installed in front of the door.

A fire broke out on the second floor of a three-story multi-family house in Jeongwang-dong, Siheung-si, Gyeonggi-do, around 8:30 last night.

Ten residents were evacuated due to the fire, and a man in his 40s, Mr. A, who was inside the house where the fire broke out, was taken to the hospital due to smoke inhalation.

As a result of the police investigation, it was determined that the place where the fire started was Mr. A's girlfriend's house, and that Mr. A went there and set the fire because 'she would not meet him.'

Mr. A is also accused of going to his girlfriend's younger brother's house where his girlfriend and family were gathered before setting the arson and spraying paint thinner in front of the door.

The police plan to inquire into the exact circumstances of the incident as soon as Mr. A completes hospital treatment.

The accident vehicle is standing with its emergency lights on.

Last night, around 10 o'clock, three vehicles collided near Jeomchon Hamchang Interchange in Yangpyeong direction on the Central Inland Expressway in Sangju, Gyeongsangbuk-do.

There were no casualties in this accident, but surrounding roads were congested for about 30 minutes.

Yesterday evening, around 6:50 p.m., six vehicles collided one after another near the Seosang Interchange in the direction of Daejeon on the Tongyeong-Daejeon Expressway in Hamyang-gun, Gyeongnam, and eight people were injured.

Police believe that the accident occurred because cars failed to slow down in time in a section with frequent traffic congestion.
