Two videos of a few seconds, published on a Facebook page dedicated to his disappearance, could reopen the case of Daniele Potenzoni, the man with autism whose traces were lost on June 10, 2015 in Rome, at the Termini metro station. At the time he was 36 years old and was in the capital with a group that was to participate in the audience of Pope Francis.

The man's family members ask investigators to verify these videos. A complaint will be filed by their lawyer, the Postal Police will be asked to acquire the footage. The goal is to ascertain when and where they were filmed. "We are convinced that this is the right time for the state to wake up and do what it has to do to look for our son. With this video our souls have been rekindled: we are convinced that Daniele is still alive", says Francesco Potenzoni, the 36-year-old's father.

With him there were also escorts and some volunteers. Perhaps because of the crowd, Potenzoni was lost sight of and the searches taken shortly after did not lead to his identification.

"

Needless to say, these images struck us - continues Potenzoni -. The videos were posted by a lady a few days ago on a Fb page that follows the story of my son. The user told us that she came across these videos while browsing Instagram and immediately thought of Daniele".

The lawyer and criminologist who have been following the family for eight years will soon file the complaint to ask the Post Office to analyze the material and try to reconstruct when and where it was filmed. "It is not excluded that these may be videos shot abroad - adds Francesco Potenzoni - for this reason we are considering urging the investigators to also ask for a possible rogatory ".

Videos

A person, in a forest, wears a red sweatshirt and has a glass of beer next to him. A voiceover in Russian states: "Arnold Schwarzenegger in the movie Terminator." In the second video, the same person is seen lying on the ground, visibly drunk, who is given a glass of beer.

For his father, Daniele could have ended up in a group of nomads, who improvised street shows to raise money. "What strikes us is the resemblance of the person who appears - he adds -. I remember well that in the days when Daniele disappeared in Rome, many clochards who lived in that area were taken away from the station area: my man may have ended up among them".
