Since Thursday, it is possible to file a complaint at the Jean-Verdier hospital in Bondy (Seine-Saint-Denis) in case of domestic violence. This is the 4th site of the AP-HP (Assistance Publique – Hôpitaux de Paris) in the department to allow victims to easily file complaints with trained professionals, reports Actu Seine-Saint-Denis.

The Jean-Verdier AP-HP Hospital and the Territorial Directorate of Community Security (DTSP) of Seine-Saint-Denis have joined forces to fight against conjugal, intra-family or sexual violence.

A permanent reception

This system takes the form of a reception desk taking place every Thursday from 9 a.m. to 17 p.m. Complaints will be received by a trained police officer. The filing of complaints will be anonymous and prompt for victims. This initiative complements the work of the hospital's forensic service, which already provides multidisciplinary care for victims of violence.

This system allowing a complaint to be filed at the hospital has already been set up in several establishments in the department such as the Women's House of the Delafontaine Hospital, the psychotrauma care unit of the Robert-Ballanger Hospital and the André-Grégoire Hospital in Montreuil.
