She is the head of the ophthalmology department at the Edouard-Herriot Hospital in Lyon. He is one of the managers of SCM Lyon Lasik. Two things bind them: marriage and a convention linking from 2010 to 2022, the Hospices Civils de Lyon and this laser correction equipment company. A situation of "conflict of interest" for the Regional Chamber of Accounts (CRC), which published its report last fall. Médiacitésalso revealed on May 23 that the Anticor association had taken legal action for this conflict of interest at "500,000 euros".

Two weeks later, the Lyon prosecutor's office said it had opened an investigation into the charge of illegal taking of interest and misappropriation of public property, entrusted to the zonal directorate of judicial police south-east of Lyon, as reported by Le Figaro.

The respondent defends itself from the accusations

According to the CRC, the Lyon company "benefits from HCL equipment without any census or call for applications from other practitioners has been carried out". This obligation did not exist in 2010 but a new regulation that imposes calls for tenders was put in place in 2017. The report also shows that tariffs have never changed, yet a revision was provided for each year in the agreement. A shortfall calculated at nearly 500,000 euros by the CRC.

The defendant, questioned by Le Figaro, defends itself by ensuring that "the majority of the signatory members in 2010 knew" that one of the managers of the company was her husband and that she did not sign the agreement herself. Regarding the misappropriation of public property, it ensures "not to intervene in the finances of the CHU". "It was the SCM that paid the necessary sums to the HCL. I had no way to divert anything," she told the newspaper.
