The Tartous branch of the Arab Writers Union hosted the signing ceremony of the Diwan "The Book of Glances" by the poet Saqr Alishi with the participation of a number of writers, poets, writers and researchers.

The 130-page medium-length book issued by the Ministry of Culture and the Arab Writers Union included various historical glimpses, glimpses of poetry and mythology, and glimpses of dust and nostalgia.

The Diwan is mostly medium to short length, and sheds light on a certain ideal human condition and includes poems about love, war and the human essence.

The head of the branch of the Tartous Writers Union, Munther Issa, pointed to the importance of the Diwan due to its diverse and comprehensive content, which received a beautiful echo, indicating that the poet is faithful to his principles that he brought from the countryside loaded with beautiful pictures, so he wrote for man, his concerns, beauty and others.

As for the writer and critic Mervat Ali, a member of the office of the Tartous Writers Union, she explained that the book constitutes a milestone of the signs of Arabic poetry, and that the most important thing that distinguishes it is the poet's ability to codify the word, so we notice in glimpses the subtlety of feelings, the brevity of words, and the quality of dealing with the delicate idea, and deals with tangible things as imperceptible and vice versa.

Samir Hammad, a member of the Arab Writers Union, explained that the book of glimpses is characterized by a distinctive language, bright ideas, and each glimpse carries the poet's philosophy and his critical opinion on man, life, and everything related to literature.

It is noteworthy that the poet Saqr Alishi, born in Hama in 1957, has many versions and poems, most notably with your eyes, a few secrets, nostalgia heights, gazelles, clusters of wisdom and others.
