He was stopped and taken to prison on charges of escape from house arrest, where he was serving a 12-month sentence for fraud, the accountant Patrizio Ruscio, 60, investigated on charges of voluntary murder of his mother.

At dawn on June 1st, to go to his elderly mother's house, in via Monteverdi in Pistoia, he violated, in fact, the prescriptions of the surveillance court, which allowed him to leave his home only between 10 and 12 in the morning. The same surveillance judges ordered his transfer to prison.

Ruscio at 6 am last Thursday, according to his story, had found his mother Ottavina Maestripietri, 90, already a corpse and had raised the alarm.

Although at first everything suggested that the cause of death had been an illness, the coroner had become suspicious noticing marks on the woman's neck. Ruscio was therefore entered in the register of suspects by the Public Prosecutor's Office for the hypothesis of voluntary homicide.

Two mobile phones were seized from the man and tomorrow an autopsy will be performed on the body of Ottavina Maestripietri to ascertain the causes of death.

The investigations, directed by deputy prosecutors Leonardo De Gaudio and Linda Gambassi, are conducted by the carabinieri of the Operational Department of the Provincial Command and the Pistoia Station.
