A man is suspected of trying to kidnap a 4-year-old girl at the bottom of his home in Blanc-Mesnil (Seine-Saint-Denis), Sunday around 18:30 p.m. According to Le Parisien, residents and other young people intervened to prevent this kidnapping attempt from succeeding. The suspect, in his sixties, was quickly arrested and taken into custody.

"His strange behavior could make believe that he was going to kidnap the little girl," added the source of the Parisian, adding that the man would have let the neighborhood think that he was the father of the child. But the residents, who know the girl's family, did not let themselves be fooled.
In addition, the little girl and two other siblings were without parental supervision at the time of the events. They were the subject of a provisional placement measure, said the Bobigny prosecutor's office.
