  • At least one person was killed and several others wounded in the night from Monday to Tuesday in a new "massive attack" of Russian drones on Kiev, announced the mayor of the city, Vitaly Klitschko.   • President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Sunday claimed victory in the second round of Turkey's presidential election. According to Turkey's official Anadolu Agency, Erdogan, in power for twenty years, won 52.1% of the vote, against 47.9% for his opponent Kemal Kiliçdaroglu after counting nearly 99% of the vote.

  • France's Justine Triet won the Palme d'Or at Cannes on Saturday for "Anatomy of a Fall," becoming the third sacred director in the Festival's history.
