The tragedy occurred around 23:15 p.m. in front of the entrance to the Henri-Fréville metro station south of the city. According to Ouest-France, the victim would be 30 years old and would have received several machete blows.

"A magistrate of the prosecutor's office moved to the scene, accompanied by a forensic doctor," says Philippe Astruc, prosecutor of the Republic of Rennes, specifying that an autopsy must take place this Tuesday.
