Mom Cafe fraud case that stole tens of billions of won from members by deceiving them into selling
gift certificates at low prices, we have reported continuously. Today (30th), the operator of Mom Cafe was examined for an arrest warrant. Police have identified 460 billion in damages, and new suspicions of fraud have been raised.

Mr. Park Mo, the operator of Mom Cafe, who has been arrested on charges of
fraud, appeared for a court examination.

Since 2020, Park is accused of stealing 61.142 billion won from 10 people by soliciting gift certificates from Mom Cafe members.

If you deposit 13,282 won, you will be given back a gift certificate worth 460,10 won, which involved friendships with influential politicians and famous celebrities.

Police believe that the total number of victims, including members who did not participate in the complaint, is 1 and the amount of damage is <> billion won.

Park has also been accused of other frauds.

Since last year, café members have been encouraged to invest in gold by saying that they can buy gold at a discount of about <>%, and the affected members have remitted tens of millions of won per person.

Victims of Goldbar investments are also preparing a class action lawsuit, claiming that they were subjected to the same scheme as gift cards.

The Police Investigation Team will immediately launch an investigation into any additional allegations of gold bar fraud as soon as the victims' complaints are received.
