Guam Airport, which was closed due to
the effects of Super Typhoon Mawar, will resume operations from today (29th). More than 3,400 stranded tourists from South Korea are expected to return as early as tonight.

Guam International Airport, which was closed due to
Typhoon Mawar, will resume operations at 3 p.m. local time today, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.

It's been a week since it was closed due to typhoon damage on the 22nd.

Following the normalization of airport operations, four airlines flying to and from Guam, including Korean Air, will resume operations.

First, Korean Air flew a large 4-seat aircraft to pick up travelers stranded in Guam and prepare for an alternative flight back to Incheon International Airport at 338:10 p.m. tonight.

We have also organized an additional flight from Guam that will depart at midnight today and arrive at Incheon International Airport at 45:3 a.m. tomorrow.

Jeju Air has arranged flights for local tourists from Guam to arrive at Incheon Airport at 45:9 p.m. and 10:9 p.m. tonight.

Jin Air and T'way Air have also made emergency arrangements for their return flights tonight, each arriving in Guam this afternoon.

Flights have resumed, but the challenges of our tourists scattered around Guam remain.

The government has set up three temporary shelters in Guam for our tourists who are unable to return home.

In addition, a temporary clinic has been put into operation, and local travelers are informed that they can provide emergency medical care, as well as treat patients with chronic diseases and prescribe medicine.
