The case of the Egyptian composer Amr Mostafa, and the step of presenting a lyrical clip with the voice of the late singer um Kulthum based on artificial intelligence technology, opened the door to discussions about the damage that modern technology can cause in the world of singing and music, in terms of material and moral rights, challenges and problems that it may raise in the future.

After the uproar of the new "artificial" song of the Arab singing lady, and the wide media and critical debates it provoked between those in charge of the intellectual rights of the Arab singing lady and the composer of the new song, a new audio clip was published implemented with artificial intelligence technology that brought together the late artist Abdel Halim Hafez and the singer Amr Diab, which many considered an infringement on the voice of "The Nightingale" and a disregard for its status, and a download of the value of a great artistic stature that put its clear mark on the history of Egyptian and Arab singing and among generations of beautiful art.

fever

Social media and digital platforms also began publishing audio clips of songs that include the voices of a group of contemporary singers, as a clip of the song "They asked me people" by Mrs. Fairuz was published in the voice of the singer Asala, and the audience interacted with the experience of the song "Patience is beautiful" with the voice of originality and dreams. Artificial intelligence technology has brought back

The voice of the late Tunisian singer Zikra was reproduced as a performer of passages from Asala's songs, while Elissa's voice was simulated as she sang works by Iraqi singer Rahma Riad.

Perhaps the most important of these experiences is the most circulated through cyberspace - and perhaps the strangest of all today - the experience of providing an audio clip in which the international star «Rihanna» sings the song «Your father is next to me tonight» by the singer Nawal Al-Kuwaitia, and finally spread, audio clips of the Syrian singer Asala in which they simulate the songs of «Rihanna» and the Moroccan singer Nidal Ibork, and the star Universal Kanye West.

Reactions

On a global level, the platform «Spotify» for world music, announced the deletion of all music clips based on artificial intelligence experiments, and to ensure that their owners do not receive material compensation for property rights, explaining that it deleted from its libraries all clips made by its users through the model «Bomi».

Abdel Halim Hafez's family issued a warning statement against any attempt to use the voice of the "nightingale" and integrate it with artificial intelligence, noting that the family will take all necessary legal measures to prevent these attempts, describing this experiment as "failed".

The nephew of the «nightingale», Mohammed Shabana, in a statement published through his account on «Facebook»: «If the family wants to use this technology one day, it will be of the highest degree of quality, craftsmanship and technology to entertain lovers (Nightingale brown), and will be with the consent of his lovers and lovers, if requested from us.

Warnings

For his part, Egyptian musician Hani Shenouda warned of the consequences of using artificial intelligence, without the provisions of laws regulating his work during the coming period, calling for the need for rapid intervention and amendment of intellectual property rights laws, after the incident of using um Kulthum's voice in a new song. He said: «We have to wonder about her rights after the voice of um Kulthum was used after her death, especially since artificial intelligence has so far used the voice of the singer only, but it is possible to extend to composing and composing».

For her part, the Egyptian singer Angham revealed her lack of understanding of this new phenomenon and the ways in which she presents songs that collect the voices of the stars, whether from the departed or the living, expressing her annoyance with the idea by saying: «I hope that it (Hoja) and ends. 'That's how they will make us stay at home.'"

Composers are rushing to cooperate with specialists in artificial intelligence to download "meager" clips through which work is done to use the voices of art giants, as they perform the works of contemporary singers, in a move described by some as a "fleeting shout", and sometimes a "farce", in a move that many considered a kind of new and unjustified promotion of artists' works, and an "insult" to the value of "adults" who have devoted a special artistic taste that reflects their high-end choices, whether at the level of word or melody.

• «Technology» reproduced the voice of the late Zikra, performing clips from Asala songs. She mimicked Elisa's voice as she sang the works of Riad's mercy.

Away from comparisons

At a time when many in the Arab world are racing to launch artistic experiments based on the reproduction of artists' voices, German artificial intelligence experts succeeded in completing the Beethoven 10th Symphony project, and broadcasting it live from an opera house in Hamburg, to raise a wide wave of surprise and interest around the world, leading to its follow-up in the Culture Lab at the German pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai, after it took the team of international experts on the symphony two full years to produce it as required.
