A "record" for the closing ceremony of the Cannes Film Festival. Broadcast Saturday on France 2, it gathered 3.16 million viewers, according to data published Sunday by Médiamétrie, and recorded more than 500 million views on social networks.

With a 20% audience share and 3.16 million viewers on average, France 2 signs "a new historical record", greet in a joint press release France Télévisions and Brut, which last year became official broadcasters of the Cannes competition instead of Canal +.



The ceremony, presented by actress Chiara Mastroianni and broadcast in the first part of the evening between 20:30 and 21:30, reached a peak of audience with 3.8 million viewers, it is specified.

Historical levels on social networks

The videos broadcast by the online video media Brut on all social networks (Tik Tok, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, Facebook and Snapchat) have for their part "recorded more than 500 million views around the world", allowing "to propel the news and image of the Festival de Cannes to historic levels".
